The zoo- again.

2:00 PM

Cameryn really wanted to go to the Riverbanks Zoo on Mother's Day.  I threw the idea to Chris, who nixed it at first because it was already 80 degrees and rising, but then he agreed that we didn't have anything else to do and Cameryn hadn't been in awhile anyway.  Cameryn adores going to "her" zoo.  Our zoo is really nice, mostly shaded, and since we have a family explorer package that includes all the "extras" (the choo-choo train, the pony rides, the carousel, and the giraffe feeding), it's not only a family friendly outing but a budget friendly one too!

Cameryn's favorite part about the zoo are the pony rides.  The first pony she ever rode was Blondie.  She was able to ride Blondie, but we had to say goodbye when the ride was done.
Blondie is retiring at the end of May because she is elderly and blind in one eye.

Thanks for the rides, girl!

Silliness at lunch.

I'm not sure that either of us were ready for this picture!  HA!

We had a great day!  We are definitely looking forward to the Member's Nights that begin this month.  The zoo is open to members only on three Friday nights from 6-9!  The first night is on May 20 and it's all about Mammals.  Plus, food is discounted too!  The zoo is definitely our favorite family outing.

We're thinking about taking a trip to the Georgia Aquarium.  Any suggestions on how to plan our day?
